Visionary

As a kid, I loved the environment, and this love was what informed my choice of career, and as a young man that was very much in tune with his local community and a very active politician, I gained the skill of managing different people from all walks of life. These love and skills in turn helped me build a career that spans 25+ years with Chevron Nigeria Limited. As my retirement loomed over me, the question arose in my mind that ‘WHAT NEXT’? The answer came in the form of the exact job I was about to retire from but this time, in a consulting capacity.
Upon my retirement on June 23, 2008, I rested for a few months but was restless at the same time because I was not tired. 2009 rolled in and I thought ‘AMID it is TIME’. Leveraging on my contacts and goodwill over the years, I was able to successfully start Wordsworth Limited after its brief hiatus in uncertainties. When we reopened for business in 2009, our place of business moved to 5, Afisman Drive, Anifowoshe, Ikeja and we became a full-fledged Environmental Consulting firm thereby shedding our primary business and occasionally playing in the Civil sector. And in 2013, February 22 precisely, we metamorphosed to WORDSWORTH ENVIRON LIMITED. Our activities from that day culminate into today’s gathering and in that time, we have audited over 9500 telecommunication’s base transceiver sites, over 3000 sites impact assessed, conducted compliance monitoring for over 4000 sites, assessed the impacts of a 30 Million litres Petroleum products Tankfarm, successfully designed, implemented and certified an Environmental Management System ISO14001: 2015 for one of our biggest clients and so much more.
